A stunning deep blue oil steam-distilled from the flowering tops of Tanacetum annuum in Morocco. The colour is nowhere in the living plant - it forms in the still, as chamazulene develops during distillation, and can run to a third of the finished oil. Sweet, herbaceous and softly camphorous, with a depth that has made it one of the most sought-after blues in perfumery. Not to be confused with common tansy, which is a different plant entirely.
