Warm, sweet and richly balsamic with a distinctive vanilla-like creaminess and a subtle incense depth. A resinoid produced from the bark resin of Styrax benzoin - one of the oldest aromatic materials used in perfumery, medicine and sacred ritual. Exceptionally tenacious as a base note and natural fixative, it rounds and softens accords with a powdery, resinous warmth that lingers long after other notes have faded.
